Anonymous asked: If your cult searches for "true beauty" then why are most (if not ALL) of the members' pictures photoshopped? Plastic looking, airbrushed faces aren't true beauty... it's trying too fucking hard. Props for all the time spent editing those pictures to the "models" though. That’s simply not true. We have a lot of members that aren’t models and have pictures that aren’t Photoshopped. When someone applies with no natural pictures it is usually the first thing we ask for. And retouching indeed takes a lot of time- what photographer in their right mind would rather work with a model that needs a lot of it? Members of Academy can model because they are beautiful not have beautiful pictures just because they model.

Anonymous asked: I just wanna say that some of the girls myself included but also some other girl's ive seen enter your cult with their applications are some of the nicest girl's on VF and they are gorgeous, absolutely stunning yet you dissect every little thing about them when really they are beautiful. You say nasty horrible things about them, when your supposed to give them feedback not just say they are completely unattractive you are a disgrace to VF. & i don't believe in hate mail but it needed to be said We respect everyone’s opinions, but stand firmly by our guidelines. Our main page states that we are judging based on looks and the exterior entirely. No doubt, there are people who apply who certainly do have impeccable personalities, but that is simply not a factor for Academy membership. The voting body as a whole does not support nasty, uncalled-for comments and we do have rules in place to regulate how our voters formulate their votes.
